The split of opposition MLAs has become a major political flashpoint in Bihar. The issue began after Chirag Paswan claimed that many opposition MLAs were in touch with him and were ready to join the NDA. His remarks quickly intensified the ongoing tension. The split of opposition MLAs is now being discussed as a question of political status and influence.
RJD MLA Bhai Virendra questioned Chirag Paswan’s standing in Bihar politics. He argued that Chirag could not influence even a small decision within their party. In response, LJP-R MP Arun Bharti defended Chirag and listed his political achievements. He said that Chirag had reduced the RJD’s strength from 75 to 25 seats and weakened Tejashwi Yadav’s position.
Chirag Paswan also said that many MLAs feel they can develop their constituencies only by joining the NDA. He added that the opposition is sinking and no MLA wants to stay with a losing side.
The debate continued when Bhai Virendra mocked Chirag’s influence again. Arun Bharti replied strongly, saying their leader has the capacity to turn defeats into victories and that arrogance never lasts in politics.
