Telangana DGP CV Anand announced strict measures to control drugs and improve road safety across the state. He shared these plans during a recent event in Hyderabad. Telangana DGP CV Anand said the police will act firmly against drug networks and ensure safer roads. He also stressed the importance of friendly policing and better public interaction.
The DGP warned that schools and colleges will face strict action if authorities find drugs on their campuses. The government plans to set up Anti-Drug Committees in educational institutions. Police will also keep a close watch on pan shops and suspicious activity near colleges and universities.
Road safety remains another major focus for the police department. The state plans to create a Traffic Management and Road Safety Bureau to reduce accidents. Every year, thousands of people lose their lives in road accidents in Telangana.
He also said passengers sitting in rear seats must wear seat belts. The DGP urged young police recruits to serve the public with dedication and honesty.
