Swami Chaitanyananda Saraswati Scandal: Delhi Ashram Molestation Case

Swami Chaitanyananda Saraswati facing molestation allegations at Delhi ashram

The Swami Chaitanyananda Saraswati scandal has shaken Delhi’s Vasant Kunj area after over 15 women accused the former director of the Sri Sharada Institute of Indian Management of molestation. The Swami, previously known as Swami Parthasarathy, is currently on the run, with police tracking his last known location to Agra. Following the allegations, the Sri Sringeri Math administration removed him from his position and lodged complaints with authorities.

This is not the first time Swami Chaitanyananda Saraswati has faced legal troubles. In 2009, he was accused of fraud and molestation in Defence Colony, and another molestation complaint was filed against him in 2016 in Vasant Kunj.

In the latest case, students pursuing PGDM courses under EWS scholarships reported harassment through abusive language, obscene messages, and unwanted physical contact. Statements from 32 women were recorded, with 17 directly alleging misconduct. Three female faculty members and administrators were also accused of pressuring students to comply with the Swami’s demands. Police are questioning them, and their complete role will be clarified once the Swami is apprehended.

Authorities conducted raids at the institute and at the accused’s residences. CCTV footage is being reviewed, and hard disks and a video recorder have been sent for forensic analysis. The Swami’s Volvo car, discovered with a forged UN number plate in the institute basement, has also been seized as evidence.

The ashram stated that it has severed all ties with Swami Chaitanyananda Saraswati, condemning his illegal and inappropriate actions, and assured full cooperation with law enforcement. The police hunt for the Swami continues.
