India Slams Pakistan for Glorifying Terrorism

India strongly criticised Pakistan at the United Nations General Assembly after Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif accused New Delhi of “unprovoked aggression” earlier this year during Operation Sindoor.

Indian diplomat Petal Gahlot called Sharif’s comments “absurd theatrics” and said terrorism remains central to Pakistan’s foreign policy. She reminded the world that Pakistan shielded The Resistance Front, the group behind the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack, and even sheltered Osama bin Laden for a decade while pretending to fight terrorism.

Sharif claimed Pakistan’s forces repelled India’s attack with “bravery and professionalism.” Gahlot countered that Pakistan’s military directly pleaded with India for a ceasefire on May 10 and added that images of destroyed runways and hangars proved otherwise. “If that looks like victory, Pakistan is welcome to it,” she said.

Sharif also accused India of violating the Indus Waters Treaty, calling it an “act of war.” India suspended the treaty after the Pahalgam attack. Gahlot dismissed his threats and demanded that Pakistan shut down terror camps and hand over wanted terrorists to India.

Finally, India rejected claims that US President Donald Trump mediated a ceasefire, stressing that all issues with Pakistan will be handled bilaterally with zero tolerance for terrorism.
