Delhi Court Frames Charges Against Lalu, Rabri, Tejashwi in Land-for-Jobs Case
In a significant development, a Delhi court has framed charges against Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, his wife and former Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi, and their son, Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav, in the land-for-jobs scam case. The case pertains to alleged irregularities during Lalu Yadav’s tenure as Railway Minister, where land parcels were reportedly taken from job aspirants in exchange for employment in the Railways. The trio faces charges of cheating, criminal conspiracy, and corruption under the IPC and Prevention of Corruption Act. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), which is probing the case, claims the appointments were made without following due procedures. All three accused have denied the allegations, calling the case politically motivated.
