Six Killed in Gaza as Israel Reports Border Breach by Suspects
Tensions flared again in Gaza as the Israeli military opened fire on what it described as suspects who had crossed a boundary line, allegedly violating the terms of a recent peace agreement. According to Israeli officials, the individuals posed a threat after breaching a restricted zone, prompting a defensive response.
Local Gaza authorities, however, reported that six Palestinians were killed in two separate incidents across the enclave. They condemned the action as a violation of the ceasefire and called for international intervention.
The deaths have sparked renewed concerns over the fragility of the current peace deal, which has seen multiple violations in recent weeks. Human rights groups have urged restraint from both sides, warning that continued violence could derail diplomatic efforts.
As investigations continue, the incidents underline the deep mistrust and volatility that still persist despite formal agreements on both sides.
