Chirag Paswan on Muslim representation in Bihar politics has sparked a new debate. He reminded the Muslim community that his father, Ram Vilas Paswan, once sacrificed his own party to support a Muslim Chief Minister in 2005. However, he expressed regret that Muslims did not back them even then.
He criticized the Grand Alliance for announcing Tejashwi Yadav as CM candidate and Mukesh Sahni as Deputy CM candidate while ignoring Muslims despite their 18% population. Chirag Paswan on Muslim representation in Bihar politics said that the alliance favors Yadav and Sahni communities for votes, but Muslims get only emotional appeals, not real leadership roles.
Paswan urged Muslims to demand fair participation instead of remaining a “vote bank.” He accused political rivals of exploiting Muslim sentiments while denying them genuine political power.
