Dr. Mukesh Prasad Singh, a 71-year-old retired professor from Agriculture College, Pusa, Bihar, died of a heart attack after cyber fraud. Scammers cheated him of ₹2.5 million through a fake mobile banking app.
He received an APK file link on WhatsApp and entered his bank details. The criminals withdrew money in five steps. Shocked by the loss, he went to the cyber police station to file an FIR. While writing his complaint, he suddenly collapsed.
His sister, Dr. Manju Jaiswal, said he wanted to use a mobile banking app but got trapped by cybercriminals. Police found his half-written complaint on the desk. He was taken to the hospital but did not survive.
