In the Bihar elections, women empowerment and youth jobs have become the heart of every political campaign. The ruling NDA and the opposition Grand Alliance are moving beyond traditional caste politics and focusing on real issues that affect people’s lives.
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has long built his political strength on women empowerment. Over two decades, he introduced landmark policies such as 50% reservation for women in Panchayati Raj institutions (2006), 35% in the police department (2013), and 35% in all government jobs. These steps have strengthened his connection with female voters across Bihar.
On the other side, Tejashwi Yadav is appealing to the younger generation by promising youth jobs through a new law that guarantees at least one government job per family. His campaign slogan, “Tejashwi will give it!” reflects hope for employment and stability among Bihar’s youth.
As the Bihar elections women empowerment and youth jobs debate grows, both alliances are trying to connect emotionally with families. This shift from caste-based politics to issue-based politics marks a major change in Bihar’s political landscape.
