The Bihar Assembly election campaign has intensified, with political leaders trading sharp remarks. Chirag Paswan’s brother-in-law, Arun Bharti, targeted RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, comparing him to a “hunter” who sets traps for voters. Bharti warned people not to fall for Tejashwi’s promises made only to capture power. He claimed that Bihar’s voters now favor the NDA and will reject corruption and “jungle raj.”
BJP leader Anurag Thakur also urged voters to stay away from the Lalu family. Speaking in Patna, he accused the RJD and Congress of opposing the NDA government’s ₹10,000 scheme for 14.5 million women. Thakur said this showed they did not want women to receive financial help.
Meanwhile, Tejashwi Yadav unveiled major poll promises to strengthen the Grand Alliance’s campaign. He announced that under the “Mai Behen Yojana,” women would receive ₹30,000 annually, directly transferred to their bank accounts. Farmers, he added, would get an MSP bonus of ₹300 per quintal on paddy and ₹400 on wheat. He also pledged to waive all electricity bills for farmers if his alliance comes to power.
