The Bihar Elections first phase will decide the future of many top political leaders. Campaigning ended on Tuesday, and voting will be held in 121 constituencies, including Siwan, Patna, and Darbhanga. The fate of Deputy Chief Ministers Samrat Chaudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha, and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, will be known after this round.
Health Minister Mangal Pandey is contesting from Siwan. Ministers Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, Ratnesh Sada, and Sanjay Sarawagi are also in the fray. JDU’s Umesh Singh Kushwaha and former Union Minister Ram Kripal Yadav are among the key faces.
Each seat has about 11 candidates. Muzaffarpur and Kudhani have the highest number of contestants. The average candidate is 51 years old, and 40% are crorepatis. BJP’s Kumar Pranay from Munger tops the list with ₹170 crore in assets.
Around 32% of candidates have criminal cases. Half of them hold a bachelor’s degree or higher. The Bihar Elections first phase will also see contests featuring Khesari Lal Yadav and Tej Pratap Yadav. This vote will shape Bihar’s political path ahead.
