Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken center stage in the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections, investing more time and energy than in 2020. During the last elections, he visited Bihar four times and addressed 12 public meetings. This time, he increased his visits to seven and spoke at 14 rallies across key districts including Begusarai, Muzaffarpur, Saharsa, Bhagalpur, and Bhabua.
Modi launched his campaign on October 24 after paying tribute to Karpuri Thakur in his village. His final rallies were held in Sitamarhi and Bettiah. Unlike in 2020, when he addressed four rallies a day, this time he limited it to two per day.
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar also ran an intense campaign with 67 rallies and several road shows. Home Minister Amit Shah held 33 meetings, while Defence Minister Rajnath Singh addressed 21. BJP president JP Nadda joined in with 15 rallies.
Opposition leader Tejashwi Yadav led with 155 meetings, matching LJP (R) chief Chirag Paswan’s total. Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, and Mallikarjun Kharge contributed with 14, 13, and four rallies respectively.
Campaigning ends on Sunday, and results on November 14 will reveal whose efforts connected best with Bihar’s voters.
