The Gujarat Police Project Vishwas has entered its second phase, marking a major leap in modern policing and state-wide security. This ambitious initiative strengthens surveillance and crime control across Gujarat. The Gujarat Police Project Vishwas now covers 54 cities with advanced technology, including 12,500 CCTV cameras and three new command and control centres.

Phase one of Project Vishwas installed 7,000 CCTV cameras, 10,000 body-worn cameras, 34 district-level Netram command centres, and one Trinetra master control room. The second phase expanded the reach to inter-state check posts and integrated advanced monitoring systems for improved crime detection and investigation.

Under this project, all district command and control rooms connect to the Trinetra master centre in Gandhinagar. IPS officer Narasimha Komar, along with the Vadodara Police Commissioner, supervises the project. The cameras have already helped track criminal activities, and the initiative continues to be showcased on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s MyGov portal.

Ahmedabad city, separate from the state-wide coverage, has its own command and control centre that integrates smart city cameras. With Project Vishwas, Gujarat has strengthened its policing infrastructure, ensuring safety, rapid response, and improved law and order management across the state.
