The DSP non-bailable warrant case in Arwal, Bihar, has raised serious concern. A woman named Tanisha Singh filed a complaint against a DSP and five policemen. She said the officers entered her home in Karva Hankar village, assaulted her, and misbehaved with other women.
The case became stronger when the accused ignored court summons. The court had also issued bailable warrants earlier. Yet, none of the officers appeared. Due to this, the Chief Judicial Magistrate Manish Kumar Pandey issued a non-bailable warrant against Sub-Divisional Police Superintendent Kriti Kamal and the other five policemen.
Tanisha Singh’s lawyer said the court order came on November 25th. A copy also went to the Superintendent of Police. But no action followed, even after several days.
The DSP non-bailable warrant case has created pressure on the police department. People want accountability. The court’s latest step aims to ensure the accused face the legal process.
