Revanth Reddy Calls on KCR to Join Assembly Debate on Krishna River Projects from January 2
Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has invited former Chief Minister and BRS president K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) to participate in a detailed debate in the State Assembly on Krishna river projects, starting January 2. He said the discussion would help bring clarity on decisions taken over the years and their impact on the State’s irrigation interests.
Speaking in Hyderabad, Revanth Reddy stated that the debate would focus on project planning, water allocation, and agreements related to the Krishna basin. He said the present government was ready to place all facts before the House and explain its approach to protecting Telangana’s water rights.
The Chief Minister said KCR, who served as Chief Minister for two terms, should come prepared with data and explanations regarding policies implemented during his tenure. He added that the Assembly was the appropriate forum for a transparent and constructive discussion on such an important issue.
Revanth Reddy expressed confidence that an open debate would help farmers and the public understand the realities surrounding Krishna projects and ensure accountability in water management decisions.
