Thawe Mandir Theft Case: Thailand Link and Google Search Clues

Thawe Mandir theft investigation showing Thailand connection and Google search planning

In the Thawe Mandir theft case, police have discovered a surprising Thailand connection involving the main accused, Deepak Rai. They also found digital evidence showing he planned the robbery by searching the temple on Google.

Deepak, from Ghazipur in Uttar Pradesh, was arrested after police examined his mobile phone. Investigators found that he was in contact with several people in Thailand. Authorities are now checking whether he tried to sell stolen items like the gold crown, necklaces, and silver umbrella or if a larger conspiracy was involved.

Digital records revealed that Deepak had been searching for Thawe Mandir online days before the theft. He collected information about the temple, studied its layout, and planned the best way to enter and escape. On the night of December 11, he visited the temple to scout the area.

Later, on December 17, Deepak returned with an accomplice and carried out the robbery. Police also conducted a raid in Prayagraj and arrested two young men suspected of helping him. Investigators continue to search for the stolen items and other possible suspects.

The case highlights how thieves can use international contacts and online research to plan crimes, prompting authorities to enhance digital tracking.
