Tata Ernakulam Train Fire caused panic and devastation after a massive blaze broke out in the Tata–Ernakulam Express in Andhra Pradesh. The tragic incident occurred near Yalamanchili in the early hours of Monday, leaving one passenger dead and several AC coaches badly damaged.

According to officials, the fire erupted around 1:30 am when the train was passing near Yalamanchili. Flames suddenly engulfed the pantry car and quickly spread to the adjacent B-1 and M-2 AC coaches. Passengers woke up to thick smoke, screams, and chaos inside the train.

One passenger was unable to escape in time and was burnt alive, officials confirmed. Several others narrowly escaped after railway staff and local authorities rushed to the spot. Emergency teams immediately disconnected power supply and began rescue operations. Firefighters worked for hours to bring the blaze under control.

Railway officials said that the affected AC coaches were completely gutted. The cause of the fire is suspected to be a short circuit or an issue in the pantry car, though a detailed investigation is underway. Rail traffic on the route was briefly disrupted but later restored.

The incident has raised serious concerns about passenger safety, fire preparedness, and maintenance standards in long-distance trains.
