Chandrababu Naidu Seeks Temple Volunteer Network to Enhance Devotee Services
Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has called for the introduction of a structured volunteer system in all temples across Andhra Pradesh to improve services for devotees and enhance overall temple management. He said trained volunteers could assist pilgrims with queues, darshan arrangements, cleanliness, and guidance, ensuring a smoother and more respectful experience, especially during festivals and peak seasons.
Reviewing temple administration, the Chief Minister stressed the need for transparency, accountability, and better use of technology in public services linked to religious institutions. He directed officials to modernise facilities, strengthen crowd management systems, and ensure basic amenities such as drinking water, sanitation, and medical support at major temples.
Naidu also emphasised that temples should become centres of social service alongside spiritual activity. He suggested involving youth and local communities as volunteers to instil a sense of responsibility and service. The initiative, he said, would help improve public satisfaction while preserving the sanctity and traditions of temples across the State.
