Distribution of Pattadar Passbooks with State Emblem Begins in Andhra Pradesh
Andhra Pradesh has commenced the distribution of pattadar passbooks featuring the State Emblem, marking a significant step in the ongoing land re-survey exercise. The initiative aims to provide legal land ownership documents to farmers and landowners in villages where the re-survey has been completed. A total of 22 lakh passbooks are expected to be distributed across the State, ensuring that beneficiaries receive official records of their land holdings.
Although Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is currently abroad, he reviewed the progress of the distribution exercise through a teleconference, emphasizing the importance of timely delivery and accuracy in the records. Officials have been instructed to coordinate with local authorities and ensure smooth distribution, avoiding delays or discrepancies.
The introduction of the passbooks with the State Emblem is seen as a step toward strengthening land rights, reducing disputes, and promoting transparency in land records. The exercise also reflects the government’s commitment to empowering farmers with secure documentation of their properties.
