According to officials, the government released around ₹1,289 crore in this round. The Direct Benefit Transfer system helped avoid delays and reduced the need for middlemen.
The Bihar government runs six pension schemes under social security. These programs support elderly citizens, widowed women and disabled persons who depend on monthly financial help.
Earlier, the state increased the pension amount from ₹400 to ₹1,100 per month. The decision aimed to ease the financial burden on vulnerable families facing rising daily expenses.
Beneficiaries have been advised to check their bank accounts to confirm the credit. Officials said the higher pension will help people pay for food, medicines and basic household needs.
The latest transfer highlights the state government’s focus on welfare and timely support for eligible citizens.
