An Indian man dies at the Phuket festival after collapsing during the Electric Daisy Carnival in Thailand. The incident occurred early on January 18 in Cherng Talay, Phuket. Police identified the victim as Jain Saksham, a 28-year-old Indian national. Officers said they found no visible injuries or signs of assault on his body.
Investigators said Saksham attended the three-day music event earlier that night. After the show, he went to a nearby parking area. Witnesses reported disoriented and agitated behavior. He climbed onto a parked pickup truck and damaged several nearby vehicles.
Emergency responders transported him to Thalang Hospital. Doctors said he arrived in shock and soon lost consciousness. Medical staff attempted treatment, but he later died. Authorities have not confirmed the cause of death.
Police ordered an autopsy at Vachira Phuket Hospital due to unclear circumstances. Investigators are examining possible substance use and underlying medical conditions. The Indian embassy contacted local officials and began coordination with the family. Relatives will receive the body after the autopsy. They will then perform final religious rites. The case has raised safety concerns among festival attendees and organizers.
