The MSME Minister said that ₹1,877 crore has been allocated in the State Budget for rural poverty alleviation. He said this amount is ₹143 crore more than last year’s allocation. The increased funds show the government’s commitment to improving the lives of poor families in rural areas.
The Minister said special focus will be given to strengthening Self-Help Groups (SHGs) and promoting rural livelihoods. The government will support income-generating activities and small businesses in villages. Under the “One Family One Entrepreneur” initiative, financial and technical support will be provided to encourage entrepreneurship.
He said the scheme aims to support nearly five lakh women across the State. Training, loans, and marketing assistance will be offered to help them start and grow their businesses. The Minister added that empowering women and creating job opportunities in rural areas will help reduce poverty and improve living standards in Andhra Pradesh.
