Interstate arms smugglers arrested in Supaul after police carried out a special operation against illegal weapons trafficking in Bihar. Officers arrested ten suspects and seized pistols, country-made guns, ammunition, and large amounts of cash during multiple raids.
The interstate arms smugglers arrested in Supaul were caught during coordinated raids in four police station areas. Police recovered five pistols, two country-made kattas, several cartridges, semi-finished weapons, vehicles, and cash worth lakhs from the accused.
The operation began on April 14 when police raided a location in the Kishanpur area and arrested four suspects. Officers seized a pistol, ammunition, a car, and four motorcycles.
Later raids near a degree college led to the arrest of another suspect with three pistols, magazines, and ₹2.08 lakh in cash.
Further operations in Pipra and Raghopur areas resulted in more arrests and the recovery of additional weapons and cartridges. Investigators believe the gang supplied illegal arms across several districts including Saharsa, Madhepura, and Madhubani.
Police also found that one accused had a previous criminal record under the Arms Act. Authorities are now tracing the full network and possible links to illegal weapon manufacturing and supply chains.
