The Andhra Pradesh coalition government has taken another major administrative decision. In a fresh reshuffle, the state transferred 11 Indian Forest Service (IFS) officers to new postings. Chief Secretary Vijay Anand issued the official orders on Wednesday.
Rajendra Prasad has been appointed Managing Director of the Environment Development Corporation, while S.S. Sridhar will now serve as MD of the Forest Development Corporation. Saravanan has been given charge as Member Secretary of the Andhra Pradesh Pollution Control Board. These positions are considered important for the state’s environmental governance.
Other key postings include Srikantanath Reddy as Regional Manager of the Forest Development Corporation, B. Vijay Kumar as Field Director of the Srisailam Project Tiger Circle, and B.V.A. Krishnamurthy as Conservator of Forests, Kurnool Circle. Sources said the reshuffle aims to streamline forest and environmental administration across the state.
The government has signaled that such transfers are part of its broader plan to strengthen governance in critical sectors. With the forest and environment portfolio gaining more attention, the appointments are expected to improve management and accelerate developmental activities in line with state policies.
