A shocking incident has shaken Oldbury, UK, where a Sikh woman in her twenties was racially attacked and raped by two men. The attackers hurled racist remarks, telling her to “go back to your own country.” This hate crime has raised alarm in the Sikh community and across the country.

The attack took place near Tame Road in Oldbury at around 8:30 am last Tuesday. Police said the woman reported the racist comments during the assault. Officers confirmed they are treating the case as a racially aggravated attack and have launched CCTV and forensic investigations to track down the suspects.

According to Birminghamlive, the suspects are white men. One had a shaven head and wore a dark sweatshirt, while the other wore a grey top. The assault has left the local Sikh community outraged, calling it a targeted act of hate.

British MP Preet Kaur Gill condemned the attack, calling the rise of overt racism deeply concerning. MP Jas Athwal described it as a “vile, racist, misogynist attack” that reflects rising racial tensions.

This incident follows another hate crime less than a month ago, where three teenagers assaulted two elderly Sikh men in Wolverhampton.

The assault in Oldbury highlights growing concerns over racism and safety in the UK.
