Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka has urged bankers to provide extensive loans not only for agriculture-related sectors but also for Indiramma housing and self-employment schemes . Speaking at the State-Level Bankers’ Meeting held at Pragati Bhavan, he emphasized the crucial role of banks in the state’s development.

He highlighted Telangana’s performance in the Telangana Rising-2017 rankings, noting that with 3.87 lakh accounts, the state leads nationally in agriculture, small-scale industries, and service sectors. The government continues to focus on agriculture, implementing programs like crop loans, Rythu Bharosa, and free electricity for farmers.

Bhatti appreciated the achievement of 33.64% of the annual plan target in the first quarter and advised banks not to pressure farmers for fixed deposits. He stressed that the agriculture sector forms the backbone of Telangana’s economy and confirmed that the state has deposited ₹30,000 crore in banks under Rythu Bharosa, marking a historic record in banking recovery history.
