The Bihar Sub Inspector Recruitment process will begin soon after the state cabinet approved a large police hiring plan. The decision came during a cabinet meeting led by Samrat Choudhary in Patna. Officials said the move will strengthen the police force and improve law and order across the state.
Under the plan, the government will fill 20,937 police posts, including around 10,469 Sub-Inspector positions through direct recruitment. The remaining 10,468 posts will be filled through promotions from Assistant Sub-Inspectors (ASI). This decision forms a key part of the Bihar Sub Inspector Recruitment drive to expand the police workforce.
The cabinet approved 64 proposals during the meeting. The government also decided to create 485 traffic police posts in cities such as Bhagalpur, Muzaffarpur, Bihar Sharif, and Gaya to improve traffic management.
In another major decision, the cabinet approved 9,152 new posts in degree colleges across 208 blocks. Officials believe these steps will create employment opportunities and strengthen public services in the state
