The Bharatiya Janata Party has officially launched its massive ‘Mission Bengal’ campaign today, aiming to unseat Mamata Banerjee’s Trinamool Congress in next year’s West Bengal Assembly elections. After a strong performance in recent polls and a confidence boost from the Bihar victory, the BJP is shifting its full focus to Bengal.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently met BJP MPs from West Bengal and urged them to intensify preparations while highlighting the failures of the TMC government. Following his direction, MPs, MLAs, and party workers have accelerated booth-level activities across the state.
As part of its strategy, the BJP will conduct 13,000 rallies between December 5 and January 5, covering both rural and urban regions. Instead of personal attacks, the party plans to target the TMC on corruption, law and order, dynastic politics, unemployment, migrant labour issues, and concerns over illegal infiltration from Bangladesh.
The BJP aims to expand its organisational presence in every booth, hoping to convert this aggressive month-long outreach into a decisive electoral breakthrough next year.
