The Patna Metro Bhootnath to Malahi Pakri route is expected to start operations soon, bringing relief to thousands of commuters in the city. The Patna Metro Bhootnath to Malahi Pakri section is part of the priority corridor that aims to improve urban transport in eastern Patna.
At present, metro trains operate on a part of the priority corridor between ISBT and Bhootnath. Officials now plan to extend the service up to Malahi Pakri. This extension will complete the main 6.1 km priority corridor of the Patna Metro project.
The new stretch will include stations such as Khemnichak and Malahi Pakri. Construction of Khemnichak station started later because of land issues, so the station may open a few months after the rest of the route.
Engineers have already conducted successful trial runs on the Bhootnath–Malahi Pakri section. After final safety inspections and approvals, passenger services will begin on the new route.
The extension will help commuters travel faster and reduce traffic congestion in busy areas of Patna.
