Punjab Police successfully extradited Babbar Khalsa terrorist Parminder Singh alias Pindi from Abu Dhabi to India. The operation marks a significant step in India’s fight against terrorism. Singh, a key member of the banned Babbar Khalsa outfit, faces charges linked to several acts of terrorism in Punjab.
The Punjab Police said Singh was wanted in multiple cases involving violent acts and attacks on security forces. He had been living abroad to evade arrest and was finally apprehended after coordinated efforts between Indian agencies and authorities in the UAE.
Officials confirmed that Singh arrived in Punjab on Friday under tight security. His extradition followed formal requests and diplomatic engagement between India and the UAE. Punjab Police stated that Singh will face trial in multiple cases connected to terrorism and other offences.
This operation highlights India’s growing cooperation with foreign nations in tackling terrorism. Punjab Police praised the coordination between its Anti-Terrorist Squad and international agencies for making the arrest possible.
The extradition of Parminder Singh sends a strong message to terrorists and reinforces India’s commitment to bringing fugitives to justice. Singh’s arrival in India opens the way for further investigation into Babbar Khalsa activities.
