The NEET Girl Death Case from Bihar has reached the Human Rights Commission, increasing pressure for a fair probe. In the NEET Girl Death Case, rights activists have appealed directly to the Chief Justice of India, demanding justice for the deceased medical aspirant.
A petition was submitted to the National Human Rights Commission and the Bihar State Human Rights Commission. Advocate Subodh Kumar Jha filed the plea and also wrote to the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court and the Patna High Court. He urged senior judges to monitor the investigation closely.
The case involves an 18-year-old NEET aspirant who stayed at a girls’ hostel in Patna. She was found unconscious under suspicious circumstances and later died during treatment. Police initially described the incident as suicide.
However, the family and social groups questioned this claim. They pointed to injury marks and gaps in the investigation. Activists say officials ignored key evidence during the early stages of the case.
The petition demands an independent and transparent investigation. It also seeks action against any officer found guilty of negligence.
Public anger continues to grow, with students and residents demanding accountability. The case has sparked a wider debate on student safety and the handling of sensitive investigations in Bihar.
