Mallikarjun Kharge slams Congress workers after a group of party supporters interrupted his speech during an event in Bengaluru. The Congress president lost his temper when workers shouted slogans in support of Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar.
The incident took place at the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) office during the oath-taking ceremony of newly appointed party office-bearers. Senior leaders, including D.K. Shivakumar and Mallikarjun Kharge, attended the program.
While Kharge was addressing the gathering, some supporters began chanting “DK, DK” slogans repeatedly. Their chants disrupted the speech and created noise inside the venue.
An upset Kharge immediately responded from the stage. He asked the workers to remain silent and warned them against disturbing the meeting. He also criticized them for trying to display loyalty to their leader at the wrong time and reportedly called them “useless fellows.”
Seeing the situation escalate, D.K. Shivakumar stood up and signaled his supporters to stop the slogans. The incident has since sparked discussion in political circles and on social media.
