Several districts including Adilabad, Nizamabad, Medak, Warangal, and Khammam reported major damage. Floodwaters entered residential areas, submerged roads, and cut off transport links. Villagers struggled to move as culverts and bridges collapsed. KCR conveyed shock over the hardships faced by people and urged quick assistance from local authorities.
The Meteorological Department warned of heavy to very heavy rainfall in the coming hours. With reservoirs and lakes overflowing, floodwaters are spreading rapidly into towns and villages. Croplands have been inundated, and many houses are filled with water. Essential items and food grains were destroyed, adding to people’s difficulties.
Government agencies have begun rescue and relief work. Boats, medical camps, and emergency teams were deployed in low-lying regions. Authorities urged citizens to remain alert as the situation may worsen if rainfall continues.
