The Grand Alliance in Bihar is preparing for the upcoming Assembly elections with Tejashwi Yadav as its chief ministerial face. The alliance plans to appoint three deputy chief ministers representing Dalit, Muslim, and Extremely Backward Class (EBC) communities. This move aims to promote social inclusion and political balance.
RJD will contest 125 seats, Congress 50–55, and Left parties about 25. Tejashwi’s leadership is seen as a unifying step, shifting RJD’s image from Yadav-centered politics toward a broader social base. Congress and VIP leaders call it a sign of inclusive governance.
However, critics argue the plan is a “false message” before elections, suggesting it may cause internal rivalry. Political analysts believe this formula could help Tejashwi by reducing dynasty politics allegations and assuring representation to weaker sections.
