The RJD EVM rigging factcheck by the Election Commission of India (ECI) challenges senior RJD leader Jagdanand Singh’s statement on pre-loaded votes. He claimed that every EVM in Bihar carried 25,000 votes before polling began. The Commission rejected this claim and said it was impossible. The RJD EVM rigging factcheck also noted that these statements conflict with documents signed by RJD’s own booth agents.
ECI explained that polling agents from all parties check each EVM before voting. They confirm that the vote count is zero. Then, they run a mock poll to test whether the machine records votes correctly. After this test, officials reset the EVM to zero and polling agents sign a certificate agreeing that everything is correct.
The Commission added that EVM allocation, sealing, transport, and storage happen under CCTV monitoring. Candidates’ agents remain present throughout these stages.
ECI also stated that no RJD agent reported broken seals or raised objections during voting. All RJD agents signed Form 17C, the final record of votes cast. The Commission said this proves that the claim of pre-loaded votes does not match what RJD’s own representatives confirmed at the booths.
